When visiting London, tourists have to stay in hostels or hotels. This requires spending money. Why would you still spend money on tourist attractions when you can have them for free? There are several things to see and do in London that will not cost you a single cent.

Tourists Attractions For Free

A number of London’s museums can be visited for free. Tourists can visit these museums without having to pay for anything. Wouldn’t it be great to discover the past, the present, London and the world for free? Some of the museums that can be visited for free include the British Museum, the museum of the world for the world; Sir John Soane’s Museum; Geffrye Museum, displaying the British life from the 1600 to the present; the historic Bank of England Museum; RAF Museum, showcasing various aircraft and accessories; and the Natural History Museum, with its exhibitions of human biology, ecology and more.

There are also a number of art galleries that can be viewed for free like the Tate Modern, a British museum for arts; and Tate Britain, showcasing the best of British art. There are parks, zoos and gardens that can be visited for free as well.

London is popular for its guards dressed in the traditional red tunics and bearskin hats. For tourists who decide to experience the changing guard ceremony, they should go to Buckingham Palace at around 1045 am and 1140am. During this time, the guard will exchange duty with one of the Queen’s guard. This is an experience that you can have for free. Furthermore, this is a good way to experience London’s tradition.

Spend a night out of your London hostel and head on to the Tower of London to experience another London tradition, the ceremony of the keys. Every evening, the Chief Yeoman Warder gives the key to the Resident Governor of the Tower. As this event is highly popular, tickets are sometimes hard to get, so be sure you book in advance.

A day out of your hostels in London can be well spent visiting historic and popular houses in London. The Kenwood House is opened for free in Hamsptead Lane London. This house displays a library and popular paintings. Tickets are also free at Hogarth’s House displaying Hogarth’s works.

Explore London for free. Don’t be afraid to go out of your hostel in London and discover what London has to offer. Remember you don’t have to spend. The best of London comes for free!
