My name is Ray Gilman [affectionately known as Raydian] and I'm the Site Manager, Owner of Webraydian.com. I figured it's about time I introduce myself and let you know what's going on at Webraydian. It's been a long hard road that's changed the direction of Webraydian, a couple of times.

A little over three years ago, Webraydian.com started as an article directory and due to a little known CMS [at the time] and a great community, I switched to a development site [one of my loves is programming]. You can still find the old development site at http://mambo.webraydian.com and the new development site at  http://www.mambotoys.com [yes, I'm still developing plug-ins]. I feel it's time to go back to what I started this domain for, which was an article directory. 

I've been Web Mastering since late '97 and one of my lost loves [first website] was a site called HavenHood.com. I use to refer to it as a safe haven in your neighborhood. It was basically a huge bookmark site with hundreds of pages and gained its fame by offering awards to Webmasters. I operated that website for three years and had a great time, too. You may have been around in those days and remember the site? The most popular award I offered was 'The Great Achievement' award and you can still find a few on the Web today. That's cool.

I spend most of my time managing websites and refining my knowledge in Web technologies, such as:

• Web Design
• Web Development/Management
• Programming [C/C++, PHP, JAVA, DHTML, HTML, and more]
• Graphics Design
• Database Technologies
• Marketing Technologies
• SEO
• ...and more

My real world experience covers Automotive and Computer Technologies. Basically, a computer technician with a strong background in Automotive Science.

Although, Webraydian switched to an article directory about a year ago, I've only been active on the site for last 4-5 months and there's a lot to do. So, things are moving rather slowly. Most of the interactive content this site needs will have to be developed from scratch and that will take some time as well.

Many of the Authors that submit content have been submitting that content to Webraydian's Un-Archived Index at: http://www.webraydian.com/articles/. The funny thing about that is I never intended to use that index as a real article index. But, feel free to create an account there and submit your content. You won't be sorry you did. I like to select articles from the Un-archived Index and move them to this site, with the hope that it  encourages those Authors to provide Webraydian.com with content as well.

My plan for Webraydian is to create the largest and most respected article index on the Web and it will be a daunting task. Creating an index of that caliber will take time, a lot of hard work, some teamwork and a little luck, because the competition is fierce. But, it can't be done without Authors like you submitting content.
